Galería Canalejas

THE GALERÍA CANALEJAS FOOD HALL OPENS ITS DOORS

December 1, 2021

The new icon of gastronomy in Madrid has opened its doors in the heart of the city, at 12 Calle Alcalá.

With 13 restaurants, each with a different style and nationality, the Galería Canalejas Food Hall is already offering somewhere that both locals and visitors alike can enjoy a unique experience every time they come.

From today, you can go on an extraordinary culinary journey through the best of Spanish, international and fusion gastronomy.

Julián Mármol, a Michelin star chef, will surprise you with his two new restaurants: Monchis and The Eight. The first is a crossroads between Mexican and Japanese gastronomy, while the second is where the chef has committed to redefining such classic formats as the hamburger and sandwich with a main focus on grilled food.

If you are a fan of Castilian cuisine, you can enjoy dishes from Rubén Arnanz - another Michelin star chef - at his first independent project in the capital: 19.86 by Rubén Arnanz.

Among the outlets offering Spanish gastronomy, you can try Iberian hams from Cinco Jotas for the first time at a DBellota space and exclusively for Galería Canalejas or see for yourself why the rice dishes by St. James are the most famous in Madrid. You can also enjoy the best of Galician cuisine at the modern Garelos tavern or have something sweet at El Goloso to choose from its selection of traditional hand-made confectionery items.

At MAD Gourmets, a multigastronomic and dynamic food venue, you will find all the latest gastro trends from around the world at 20 different speciality outlets alongside a constant entertainment offer that includes live music and showcooking events.

If you opt for the unique Salvaje experience, you will no doubt be captivated by the more revolutionary side of Japanese gastronomy. Meanwhile, Le Petit Dim Sum gives you the chance to continue enjoying Asian food within the innovative atmosphere of age-old Chinese gastronomy.

What about a trip around Europe? The international cuisine at the Galería Canalejas Food Hall includes two spaces that bring the flavours of Italy to Madrid: Davvero, with traditional recipes and fresh pasta fatta in casa; and Amorino, with the tastes of authentic Italian gelatos. From France, Daniel Sorlut brings oysters selected by the best chefs in the world and its savoir-faire based on 100 years of experience.

Live the Galería Canalejas Food Hall experience and taste the vibrant beats of the city of Madrid.
