The SS24 collection overhauls classics such as coats, dresses, tunics or trenches into a polished and elevated language for today. Long evening empire gowns in solid colors, tight tops and flared, floating skirts and soft purple brown popeline couture-cut longs dresses are the main characters. Garments full of details such as thin, rectangular paillettes that swing and crackle on tapered tops and long dresses. And a new tailoring that draws a silhouette with sharp, high-waisted short and long trousers combined with large, boxy jackets cut in graphic shapes, that also draw a series of long tunics.

Solid colours and exceptional materials

The colour scheme, mostly solid, highlights the references to the sartorial archetypes traversing the collection with the intention to overturn and elevate the ordinary. White, cream, purple brown, dark blue, and black complement hues as sand, light olive green, taupe, blue-grey and stone. While vibrant pink, charged green, and lemon and orange print the exclamation mark to the collection.

The diversity and exceptional quality of the materials are always front and center in Jil Sander’s collections: cottons, silks, broderie anglaise, Italian and Japanese wools are fluid and light. Movement, the body, are key. The comfort, is never compromised.

Flawless & sophisticated accesories

As for the accessories, exaggerated steel and zircon jewels, infuse lightness and a pop edge to the ensemble. The brand’s most iconic bags can’t be missed, the Cannolo, with its cylindric silhouette, the crossbody Coin bag or a new series of Vertigo bucket bags, constructed of spiraled strips of leather. The Goji pillow bag, with its soft and squared forms, adds texture and tactility. Men’s shoes and moccasins on sturdy leather outsoles, anchor the silhouette in a pragmatic manner, while the women’s boots, with pointy or square toes accentuate the collection’s glamorous side.
